Someone

Someone with whom to dream

About the moon and stars

And the planets beyond earth

To hold hands and fly.

Someone with whom to error

To fight with a passion

Go through Nebuchadnezzar’s fiery furnace

And still come out alive.

Someone with whom to knock other heads

To set in motion critical thought

And challenge systems

Someone with whom to walk in the revolution.

Someone with whom to hit the road

To dangerously off the map places

And take turns reading to each other

While the other one drives.

Someone with whom to make puns

Agree to how good they are

And laugh at how silly they get

To weave words of languages both native and foreign.

Someone with whom to write a bestseller

Right after the success of individual ones

To go to book signings

And organize book tours.

Someone with whom to hear the nights’ silence

And quietly listen to the loud thoughts

To track the winds’ sound outside

And feel the heart’s thuds inside.

Ah, someone…

Someone with whom to roll in pristine white linen

To intently explore anatomies

Reach for the center of souls

And make sounds of love music.
